The National Alliance of Healthcare Purchaser Coalitions (National Alliance) and AACIPM have joined forces to help employers ensure safe, high-quality and affordable treatment options for pain management for their employees and family members.
“Lost productivity, wage replacement and increased costs of care due to pain and related health conditions has a significant impact on an employer’s bottom line,” said Michael Thompson, National Alliance president and CEO. “We are working with AACIPM and member coalitions such as MBGH to educate purchasers on evidence-based strategies to help employees and their family members safely manage the burden of pain.”
The National Alliance is the only purchaser-led organization with a national and regional structure dedicated to driving health and healthcare value across the country. Its members represent more than 12,000 employers and purchasers and 45 million Americans, spending $300 billion annually on healthcare.
