AACIPM was honored to participate in the IM4US 2021 Virtual Conference. Following a year of worldwide activism, this conference theme of Decolonizing Medicine: Toward Equity and Inclusivity in Integrative Healthcare was chosen to reflect a commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and social activism. IM4US has encouraged voices often unheard in integrative medicine to present this year resulting in a tremendous response with nearly 60 sessions and over 100 presenters in our Conference Program. This conference was be held virtually from September 23 – 25, 2021.
AACIPM put together an important panel presentation, Advancing Integrative Pain Management Through Collaboration and Advocacy, on September 24 from 4:00-5:30pm, that is part of the Acupuncture and East Asian Medicine track at the conference (see conference schedule). Amy Goldstein, MSW, Director, AACIPM and Megan Kingsley Gale, MSAOM, Dipl. OM (NCCAOM®), LAc, LMT, Director, The Hospital Practice Handbook Project for Acupuncturists and Their Hospital Sponsors, will be co-moderating this panel that includes providers and leaders who are making remarkable differences in the lives of people who are underserved.
