AACIPM, Pain Care Advocates to Present at NASW’s 2020 Conference on Best Practices in Pain Management

AACIPM and pain care advocates will present during the National Association of Social Workers’ (NASW) Annual Conference in June. The presentation – “Best Practices at the Intersection of Pain Management, Opioid Use and Mental Health” – will bring together three panelists who are no strangers to pain care advocacy. AACIPM’s Amy Goldstein, MSW; Adam Seidner, MD, MPH, Chief Medical Officer with The Hartford and also an AACIPM Advisory Committee member; and Yvette Colon, PhD, ACSW, LMSW, Assoc. Professor with Eastern Michigan University School of Social Work, Board of Directors member of the Pain Community will discuss the history, trends, resources for social workers to support those with pain management needs during a 90-minute panel presentation.     At last, meaningful and doable initiatives to take action on pain management for physical health, mental health and opioid addiction all through a lens that considers the whole person. Bravo!
